Bio
I received a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1992 and 1999, respectively. After graduation, I completed a 4-year alternative military service as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. During this time (2001-2003), I also served as a technical consultant for the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC) and a guest researcher at Harvard University's Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Since July 2003, I have held the positions of Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute and Technical Advisor to the National Information and Communication Security Taskforce (ICST), Taiwan. In August 2004, I joined the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National University of Kaohsiung.
Prior to joining the Institute, I worked as a core system developer for a database company and a non-profit Internet organization. The systems I developed received awards from the Taiwan government (1994, 1995) and the Institute of Information and Computing Machinery (IICM) in 1997. I was also involved in two startups: the first internet portal in Taiwan and an internet software house.
